Star Trek Generation Figure

The future of the game: Do not you love the smell of napalm in the morning?
Ah, the days of Mario Bros. when graphics like a screen Tetris and console design is as square and creatively redundant. Now the game is a completely different level. A bonus level where you could ARE you really believe Tidus, and you find items Research Capacity in the kitchen.
It is not surprising to hear that the birth video game happened in 1949 when a young man (Ralph Baer) was commissioned to build a television set. The rapid evolution the game is constantly on the heels of the latest television technology. Hi-def, Blu-Ray. We want to feel as if it was true when we play. This of escape is a fantasy, but give us something to sink our teeth and bite us.
Where are we now: No one can kick Sony PS2
The PlayStation 2 beat all next generation consoles in popularity statistics for Nielsen April 2009. According to the ratings service games, 21.6% of all the playing time in the month of April was dedicated to the PS2.
The PS2 is nine years, but remains the most used console on the market. With a huge list Greatest Hits and an almost infinite choice of cheap, PS2 games-used 10 years of existence Sony pushes for consoles clearly works for the PS2.
Nielsen ratings showed the Xbox 360 captures 21.1% of every minute, the Wii with 17.6% and the PlayStation 3 coming in last place with 10.5%. Of course, these statistics are for April, and we can expect these figures could change every three exit consoles exclusive titles on the year and into 2010.
Sony May ready for the big push in the months ahead as Sony CEO Jack Tretton announced a 15-play first-party exclusive development for the PS3, not to mention Agent Rockstar and Square Enix's Final Fantasy XIV.
The future of the game: Do not you love the smell of napalm in the morning?
Many have written about the future of the game at home and the prospects are exciting. If you already have a "Halodiction" or a similar condition, you may want to ignore. Game is not Getting Any less addictive. In fact, the ideas for the future are about as exciting as the finish of your favorite game and then wait a secret level!
However, regardless of how technological advances, some aspects of the game remain constant. The plot and characters for games now play the role will probably remain in tact. Items such as marksmanship gunmen, the thrill of speed in the racing genre, the dogfight classic flight simulation, and problem solving is needed and strategies will all continue far into the future.
One result Major Internet is social gaming, online games. The ability to connect via your console and play against other people worldwide. This reality social aspect of group play could change the playing field somewhat as companies realize the potential of exploiting the card draw.
Games that are centralized around multiplayer functions should become more accessible and popular as the players will prefer the virtual social interaction. There may also have games developed specifically for deisgned online using social imagine if you use a "Second Life", but with levels and missions and checkpoints. But it does not stop there.
One of the most compelling visions and credible entertainment systems Future is Star Trek: The Next Generation's Holographic Environment Simulator or Holodeck. Shamelessly designed for relaxation and leisure in the long, stressful, interplanetary travel, the Holodeck allows users to run programs live a historical period, work on a personal problem or just having fun. The Holodeck does a good job of simulating reality that crew members sometimes have difficulty distinguishing the real from virtual characters.
What other general characteristics we might find in a future console game?
As we have said, it will be social
The need of an opponent or teammate always exist, thus the emergence of clans vying ladders and leagues are only a foretaste of what happens when game character becomes the social norm.
It will receive the 5 senses
We want to "feel" as if we're in the game, and as if the game is real. Most materials today stimulates the senses of sight, hearing, and perhaps the feeling (ForceFeedBack). We should see hardware devices go beyond a simple display screen and speakers to stimulate other senses too.
Finally, it must to be some kind of revolution of the display of visual material which immerses the player instead of just painting a flat screen with pixels as screen of today's computer and television screens do. Electronic Gaming will leap forward when a new type of device display is invented to replace the monitor / TV screen. Such a device, once developed, standardized and mass produced, will provide the level of realism necessary to attract a large number of consumer electronics playground games. Perhaps at this point of computer games come in the general public and compete with the film industry.
Ethereal Technologies has developed a graphical display which may lay the groundwork for a new revolution visual display. Imaging systems or volumetric VIS4D workstation allows users to receive real-time 3D images without the use glasses. According to the Company website, interaction with 3D characters and environments of video games is one potential uses. Even if this specific technology is not the one that will revolutionize the visual experience of the game, it shows that developers understand the potential of a holographic display device realistic. We have already seen huge jumps in 3D movie viewing and even the 3D camera, 3D gaming is side.
Listen up. Instead of hearing only the sound of an explosion and seeing its effects, a future player will feel the shock waves as well. A common product that illustrates this idea is the helmet Rumblefx ™, which, according to the company "In fact tremble and vibrate to a feeling that is totally addictive reality virtual audio position until the end. "Perhaps someone will even develop a sound device for transmitting games sound through the skin like Neurophonie Dr Patrick Flanagan, currently used to help the deaf to hear.
We've all seen the arcade racers which tilt and players for shock effect. Some manic flight sim games even use chairs to simulate position. When examining the sense of touch, Microsoft ForceFeedBack technology comes immediately to mind. As a staff, its vibration effect is limited, but if they are suitable for hardware future, this could augur the seismic serious fun. Imagine a simulated earthquake in the Holodeck.
Plans to use the sense of smell in games to come are already underway. A company called DigiScents developed the device iSmell they say is a speaker "device the size of computing devices attached to USB or serial port of your computer and plugs into an electrical outlet standard and makes vapors naturally based on personal space of the user. "
Jonathan Seidenfeld, director DigiScents said: "From Just as the PlayStation has revolutionized interactive games, iSmell will play the next level of immersion and realism. "They say this thing works really. More than 2,000 game developers have committed to using the SDK.
How game developers can incorporate the sense of taste in future games is unknown, and probably the last way to receive the attention game. Although the link between smell and taste is generally known and understood that, everything is possible.
It will be affordable
One factor that helped PC sales to explode in the 80s was the cost low. If we accept that computers and game consoles are now affordable, and platform games of tomorrow will probably sell within a reasonable price range.
It is customizable
User Maps, skins, models will probably be exchanged through the Internet user communities as they are today. Of course, a 3D file holography will be much larger and more detailed than the current variety Quake.
The ideas for the future will eventually plunge us into a virtual world very close to reality. We have our senses stimulated, be surrounded with 3D images, to communicate with other real people. It is asked when and where this will all be a temptation and exciting to disastrous addiction. Personally, I'm quite intrigued and eager to play a game that feels, smells, looks, sounds and even (possibly) real taste! But I will enjoy with caution and keep in mind The old adage if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
